The film tells the story of a group of indian women dressed in pink saris , the fight against social injustice, operating in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Bundelkhand (Central India) the film began shooting in October 2012, initially it was reported that the film is based on the life of Sampat Pal Devi EVOLUTE , Gulaabi Gang , but in the respect the obligation of his work the director refused , but the film is not based on his life , the first list of the film involves Dixit began in December 2012 and was completed in january 2013.
